IBM Remote STM launcher

This page allows you to launch the the control software for remotely controlling the IBM Scanning Tunneling Microscope (STM). The software requires a Java plugin which is downloaded automatically when you click on one of the links below.

Observe that currently the STM is only enabled for remote operation during special events, e.g. exhibitions and conferences. In the future, we hope to be able to dedicate more of the STM time to remote operation, allowing the general public to experience the thrill of manipulating atoms.
